The proscenium theatre seats 300 and rivals any off-Broadway theatre in New York.
While the primary purpose of the theatre is to serve as a working laboratory for theatre, dance, and music students at Bergen Community College, this magnificent facility has provided countless hour of superb entertainment, at reasonable cost, for students and families in the region.
Thanks to Dr. Richard Domenico Ciccone and his generous gift to the Dr. Richard Ciccone Endowed Scholarship Fund, the main theatre has been named the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre, in memory of his mother.
With constant support and encouragement from their parents, the ten Ciccone children completed their educations and embarked on successful careers. Recently deceased, Dr. Richard Ciccone maintained a practice in dentistry in West Paterson for many years. He had a lifelong love of the theatre and said that his mother always nurtured that love.
