Complete your Online Orientation
Our online orientation program is REQUIRED for all new full-time and part-time degree and certificate seeking students. After you complete orientation and provide placement information, you’ll be ready to meet with your academic advisor to register!
In this Online Orientation we’ll tell you about all kinds of opportunities that Bergen offers, both inside and outside the classroom. We’ll also give you the nitty gritty about things like

- Student Success and Support Services
- Student Life
- Campus Safety
- Financial Aid and Paying your bill
- And more!
You are going need to set up your Portal Account before you can start orientation.
To get started, go to http://my.bergen.edu and Log-In to Online Orientation.
After you complete orientation, this is the perfect time to complete your Accuplacer Placement Testing OR submit prerequisite placement testing waiver information (ACT/Compass scores and/or previous college credit).

New Student & Family Orientation

9:00 A.M. & 3:30 P.M.
Orientation is your chance to get to know Bergen Community College’s campus and the resources you need to be a successful student!
All students who are brand new to college, transferring from another college, or restarting after 3 or more years are invited to attend.
The program will last approximately 2 hours, and will give you the opportunity to:
- Meet current students
- Interact with Faculty and Staff
- Learn about academic programs and support services
- Ask questions
- Learn about Financial Aid
- Discover career paths available to Bergen grads
- Attend a special Parent and Family Information Session
While on campus that day, you can also purchase your textbooks, get your student ID and parking pass, and take care of any other loose ends you may have before the start of the school year.
Notes: An invitation with a link to register will be emailed to all new students throughout the summer – please keep an eye on your email to sign up.
