Associate of Arts degree (A.A.) in Fine and Performing Arts General Curriculum

The Associate of Arts degree (A.A.) program provides students with a solid foundation in the fine arts. Students take a series of courses in art, music, theater arts and cinema studies, as well as other art electives. In addition, students take general education courses in Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology.

Associate of Arts degree (A.A.) in Fine and Performing Arts- Acting option

The Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Arts- Acting option focuses on the craft of acting. Through discipline, instruction and performance, the student will be prepared to audition for professional productions as well as continue their studies in acting at a four-year institution.

Associate of Arts degree (A.A.) in Fine and Performing Arts- General Theatre Arts option

The Associate of Arts degree in General Theatre Arts option introduces the student to many of the collaborative artists that make theatre ‘happen.’ This program is designed to give students a clearer vision into each of those collaborative disciplines in order to inform their decision on which area(s) they would like to focus on as a career or a major area of study at a four-year institution.

Associate of Arts degree (A.A.) in Fine and Performing Arts-Technical Theatre production option

The Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Arts: Technical Theatre Production option prepares a student with the basics in technical theatre. It is designed to offer a student the opportunity to learn set design, scenic art, lighting design, stage electrics, stage management and stage crew. This option will equip the student with a deeper knowledge in technical theatre so that they can either join the workforce or move onto a four-year institution where they can choose a specific area in technical theatre.
